IKEA Clock

My idea for an IKEA clock I decided to use the original mario sprites and edited the image. I then played with perspective and created this.

Project 5

There is a contest going on where you need to create an image that uses the concept five, not the literal meaning but a deeper meaning. For example rather than having only five people in the image, you might talk about the five main senses. I plan to make an image with photoshop that will talk about five popular and different methods of transportation that are all linked with one thing in common, they all have engines and they all use gas. I want to make this image 16 bits to make it look pixelated, yet still make it look good. I have always preferred old school graphics, more so I'm not even a fan of 3d graphics. Since the image will be pixelated when I make the image I will need to scale down the canvas size by four, six, or even eight times. I want the final result to look like a utopia, a place with multiple variations of vehicles, everyone is happy, and everything is bright and cheerful. I want to use the 16 bit look to also give the image uniqueness, and I may even change the way things look. For example a human might look like a game character like megaman, and a car might have a humanish face in the front of the car. I don't have any current idea of exactly what style it will be (dark, colorful, cartoony, realistic, etc.). The time of day is planned to be morning which will show technology bringing good to the human race rather than evil as some people depict technology, (because I love technology). I use technology every day, especially for programming but I am getting off topic. There still is a lot about the picture that I don't know what I'll do with but hopefully it will still capture what I see in my head when I think of this project.

id software is an inspiration to me because it shows that even if you don't have the best technology, you can still make amazing things. Even though the graphics are bad by present day standards, this game is still played, even online, which shows anyone can make a masterpiece that will be looked at over and over again.

Here is an example of why I like id software.
